Did Adam Sandler Steal Zohan From Gay Comic?

“The creator of a gay comic book hero accused Adam Sandler Monday of ripping off his idea for a blow-dried public avenger and turning it into You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. Author Robert Cabell sued Sandler, Happy Madison Productions, Sony and Columbia Pictures for copyright infringement in Manhattan Federal Court. Cabell says Zohan steals from his Hair-Raising Adventures of Jayms Blonde comic book series.” Okay, but doesn’t Jayms Blonde steal from another well-known hero? [NYDN]

Pretty much all comedy now is a parody or satire of some sort.

He’s not going to have much of a case, I don’t think. The main thrust of the Zohan character is that he’s Israeli.

Why would anyone want to associate himself creatively with that movie? One of the worst pieces of crap i’ve ever seen.

Sandler stole the idea for “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” from Aussie flick “Strange Bedfellows” so it wouldn’t surprise me if he stole something else
