GONE DADDY GONE?

Did Eddie Long’s Wife Leave Him After He Paid Off His 4 Molestation Cases?

Just because we love a good bit of gossip. A while back Black Media Scoop said that anti-gay Bishop Eddie Long’s wife, Vanessa moved out “after his $15 million dollar hush-money settlement to the four young men who accused him of sexual coercion.” But Bishop Long and his church deny it—should we believe either one?

Here’s the take from Black Media Scoop:

The latest bombshell has hit his home life. BMS has learned that Bishop Eddie Long’s wife, Vanessa allegedly packed up her bags and moved out of the $1.5million dollar home. Long married Vanessa Griffin in 1990. She worked on the Board of Directors for the Faith Academy. She also headed many ministries, mostly those dealing with women’s issues. They have 3 children together Edward, Jared, and Taylor. BMS has also learned that she allegedly took one of the children with her to stay at an undisclosed family members home! Our source says Vanessa allegedly agreed to stick by Long until the sex scandal drama was over and then she’d leave. This is Long’s second go around at the chapel of love. He married Dabara S. Houston in 1981 and they have one son together Eric Long.

Then here’s the statement from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church spokesman Art Franklin:

…in this new digital world, along with a steep decline in quality reporting, many people can’t discern the difference between legitimate journalists and irresponsible bloggers. Recently, some blog entries have surfaced claiming to have anonymous sources stating that New Birth First Lady Elder Vanessa Long has left her husband. That claim is completely and absolutely false. Mrs. Long is very much a loving, dedicated and committed wife and mother…

It is unfortunate that anyone would make such hateful and damaging false claims of this nature. These cruel and insensitive rumors have the potential to cause immeasurable pain and suffering. Those involved should feel obligated to retract their earlier statements.”
