TMZ has posted a clip of Gayle King having a kiki with her co-anchors on CBS This Morning today, where they claim she “said something that sounds a lot like ‘I’m gay'”.
Gayle was chatting with co-hosts Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell about finding the perfect mate, when she turns to Charlie and jokes that they may be a good fit. “I’m just kidding, I’m gay,” she says.
Or did she?
The jury’s out on this one, so check out the clip below and judge for yourself. Commenters over at TMZ seem divided — some claim “the media is misinterpreting this” (O, woe is me!) while others think she may have caught herself from revealing “I’m engaged.”

It’s bizarre that people still think Oprah and Gayle are a couple. I can’t speak for Gayle, but I feel like if Oprah were a lesbian, she would just say it. She has obscene amounts of money and the adoration of millions. She wouldn’t lose anything by being out. Ellen’s out and is the most popular talk show host in the country.
I can’t imagine Oprah — someone who has opened up about being raped by relatives, prostituting herself, getting pregnant at 14, not being saddened by the baby’s stillbirth, doing crack, and all of the struggles with her weight — hiding her sexuality. I mean, really. Is it so inconceivable that Stedman is a great guy and Gayle is just her best friend? They probably haven’t even lived in the same state since they worked together in Baltimore. Gayle has lived in Connecticut for decades while Oprah has lived in Chicago and California. Don’t any of you have a great, long lasting friendship that was never and will never be sexual? I know I have.

If you understood the black community and the era that Oprah is associated with it would be VERY clear why she has to shut up about whom she sleeps with. Though the mentality/abomination of being gay doesn’t even come close to what it was as recently as a decade ago blacks in the entertainment industry are still reluctant to come forward due to fear of being demonized.
Though she is loved by the majority it would only take a bible thumper such as Bernice King, Bishop Eddie Long (whose ass was outed and would probably do all of them a favor and shut the fuck up) ol’ brother Farrakhan or T.J. Jakes to revive the rampant homophobia of the past once again. She is a very wealthy woman and if these lepers were to try to come after her for bribe money “or else we won’t stand in your corner” I really do see her as telling ALL of them to go fuck themselves.
