The blogosphere was abuzz this morning with rumors that Casper Smart, the current flame of ex-American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, was photographed stopping into a Times Square peepshow that’s a notorious gay pick-up joint.
We were dubious from the start, mainly because there’s barely any dirty bookstores left in Manhattan.
But sure enough, photos surfaced showing Smart walking in and out of N.Y. VIP Toys. While the guy in the image above is wearing shades, his noticeable tattoo lines up with Smart’s ink.
Perez Hilton ran a quote from a frequent shopper, who said, the peepshow is a popular cruising spot. “You go into the booths, then you get all kind of tapping on the wall and propositions. It’s like zombies.” Another client claims to have seen Casper in the store a few weeks ago.

E! cites a source saying Smart was just in the area to get a haircut and a tweak of one of his tattoos: “The hottie dancer had the “Love Hate” tattoos that he has spelled out in between his fingers changed to ‘Love Hard,'” Representatives for the couple say the allegations are “false, malicious and defamatory,” and that Lopez and Smart “will pursue all remedies available to them under the law.”
We love some dirty gay gossip as much as the next queen, but Smart would have to be pretty dumb to troll for trade in the most crowded spot of the biggest city in the world. Of course, no one said J-Lo is dating him for his mind.

Hardly any dirty bookstores left in NYC? Seriously? While there are certainly fewer than there were 5 or 10 years ago (and 42nd Street has been cleaned up – Dinseyfied if you will) there are still more that 100 “adult” bookstores with NYC addresses – that, even for a city the size of New York, is still a considerable number.

I just know there is a guy who danced with him who is proudly homophobic, is a dancer that apparentally danced on Glee (shame that show would hire a homophobe) and his name is Joshua Lee Ayers. His twitter page is nothing but anti gay rants, and he’s on this weird fixated attempt to slander this guy and any gay man. I wish some gays would go on Joshua Lee Ayers twitter page and give him a piece of their mind, because he’s out of control and is using this story to promote hate against all gays.

Joshua Lee Ayers DOES seem like a militant homophobe, and that he gets works in Los Angeles is what is most puzzling. Not easy on the eyes, and his rants about never befriending a gay person, not supporting “that lifestyle” and not wanting to work with gay casting directors should be enough to not get him work in L.A. His tweets are always disturbing.
