The Democratic National Committee got some bad news yesterday.
A DC judge ruled that the organization cannot block press, such as ourselves, from accessing internal documents related to the ongoing lawsuit filed by Donald Hitchcock, who alleges the DNC canned him in retaliation for his boyfriend’s public denouncement of the party organ. DNC officials hoped to keep the media’s hands off the documents, which they argued could damage the organization’s reputation.
Judge Jeanette Clark disagreed: “…The Court is constrained to deny the Motion because the DNC has not met its burden of articulating sufficient facts in support of its Motion to limit the dissemination of discovery [documents]. Therefore, good cause was not shown to grant the motion.”
Here’s a PDF of the ruling.
How about we take this to the next level?

I love it!
“Our own actions and words may damage our reputation. So it’s not fair if you tell anyone what we said and did.”

Whenever a document or tape has been sent lawfully to the media by the plaintiff’s side, the defendant has complained about what it calls “abuse of the discovery process”. But according to the PDF of the ruling above, “…the record evidence shows that both parties have admitted that they or their agents have disclosed information to the news media or over the internet.”
What’s it called when you say one thing but then do the opposite?

Howard Dean will lose his chairmanship of the DNC not because of this issue but because of the climate created in the Democratic primaries and the internal homophobia of still active Democratic staffers like Daughtry which likely will result in a President McCain. Donations to the Democrats will be very low from the wealthy California and New York Gays who will close their pocketbooks especially given the misogynistic treatment of our favored candidate; Senator Hillary Clinton. The Gay appetite for Obama is sadly moored in Race in our “Community” and counting Florida and Michigan fairly may be the placating that this biased race for the Whitehouse needs. To ignore these states is tantamount to handing Democratic swing states to Republicans. Do the Right Thing, DNC! History is watching you…Howard Dean.

And here I thought this was about HIS party organ, not theirs!
