We all know Hugh Jackman can belt a tune. He’s won wide acclaim for his work in stage musicals such as Oklahoma! and The Boy from Oz and snagged an Oscar nod for the film adaptation of Les Miserables. But Luke Evans? Who knew the sometimes out actor possesses such a rich baritone? Probably a lot of Londoners considering Evans has appeared in numerous West End musicals including Rent and Taboo, but that doesn’t diminish our excitement to get a preview of his performance as Gaston in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. While guesting on Jonathan Ross’ British chat show, the two men were encouraged to drink up and get down to a singing duel of the character’s signature tune.

Hugh Jackman… he seems to be the most comfortable of the two kissing men. And for obvious reasons, that is sad.

I prefer Hugh Jackman. He is a living contradiction, a beautiful contradiction. He can be super tough, super macho (he’s the Wolverine for chrissakes), but he can also be totally gay, such as in The Boy From Oz.
