Each week online comedian, voice actor and chest hair model Sam Kalidi creates a comedic post for Queerty readers. This week he uses Madeline Ashton, the antiheroine from Death Becomes Her (now available on Blu-ray) to express the joy he feels at offending Bible-thumping homophobes with his provocative social media posts. He welcomes your hate mail. You can find him on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and at your local glory hole.

Greg Diercks
Not really. Most of my right-wing “friends” unfriended me a long time ago.
Amaurys Arias

Michael Claypoole
No, not really. If they are someone I know obviously they know me — take it or leave it.
Billy Butler
No, but apparently my political views do.
Georgie Land
Gee, let me think….uh,…..NO!!!
Scott Mellon
Yes actually. I don’t insult my friends’ religions to their face. I will debate if they are interested, but not here. I don’t have fundamentalist friends.
Christopher Leiva
Nope.
TampaZeke
I used to worry but I don’t anymore. I’ve lost a few Facebook “friends” over posts I’ve made about politics or religion, but I haven’t lost a single second of sleep over it.
Denis Camacho
Im sure my political views do. But they have the choice to unfriend me
Tad Greenslate
Nope. That’s why there is a way to “un-follow” or “un-friend”….
Matthew Farris
No. The religious friends I have are intelligent and don’t take offense if someone else doesn’t share their beliefs.
Harvey Shaeffer
No. Their homophobic religion offends me so it’s all fair play.
Alexis Barros
Not at all, don’t care. I’m an atheist and religion is offensive.
Chris Etter
No. We all have different views; let everyone express their own.
However, when your views start impending on my rights, you are unfriended. Bye bye.
Brent Kendrick
I deleted most of them long ago.
BitterOldQueen
Nope. If they don’t like what I have to say they can unfollow me easily. I will not self-censor to accommodate others’ delusions.
Glücklich
No religious friends, no Feltchbook, no problem.
Paris Hardy
No. I mute or block them. Simple as that.
Billy Budd
I am a radical atheist and I gave copies of the book THE GOD DELUSION to most of my friends as a gift. I wanna make a better world.
Nathaniel McManus
I have posted so many blasphemous things on my Facebook page and even a few of my fundamentalist laughed.
Stephen Meeks
Good Gods, NO!
Ben Stimpson
No, never. All my religious friends are Pagans, Wiccans, and a few Christians…but they are all as far as I know supportive of LGBT. What I worry about sometimes is offending the SJWs who sometimes are on my friends list… because they often lack the ability to debate in a respectful and productive manner, but they rarely stay on my friends list, I just don’t want the drama
Will Mannes
oh hell no..
Irish Ryan
I don’t insult my atheist friends,if the attack me for my faith of course I ditch them
Jeremy Adams

My Facebook page is MY forum, and I use it as such. I am not responsible for the reactions of others to something that I choose to highlight in my forum. Some of my friends are political conservatives and christian fundamentalists, so if they post something I find offensive or troubling, I will either “hide” the post, un-follow them, or comment as I think appropriate, depending on how much I actually like and respect the person. But on my page, it’s MY page, so I’ll say what I wish and let the chips fall as they may.
Rick Zalez
No… not at all…

George A Bussell

As an agnostic lay person, I have little use for religion per se. That being said, I own and read numerous religious tracts, including the Bible, the Koran, The Sayings of the Buddha and even the Book of Mormon. Do I offend others on occasion, most likely I do, but they in turn are offensive to me. The interchange of thoughts and ideas are after all just words, but can sway one’s thinking as well.
Steve Russell
Not at all. If my friends are that narrow minded they can block me.
Alejandro Cruz
No
Kris Barton

Actually, since I always try to attack the issue and not the person, I never worry about offending anyone. I am respectful, even if they are not, so it’s on them if they are offended.
J Allen Hale
No , Why would i care if i did. They do not mind offending me all the time.
Patrick Crawford
Not really
Freddie Gary
No don’t give a crap about offending anyone because everyone for some stupid reason is offended for anything these days.going back to days where people helped one another is a far better cry than the stupidity going on now

Kevin J Desmond
Nope … I don’t care about religion, anybody’s that is.
Ray Ivey
I worry about it, but I still end up doing it.
John Erick Casazza
Hell NO!
jheryn
No. My religious friends accept me for who I am and I accept them.
We don’t always agree on everything, but my being gay isn’t one of them.
Honestly at the same time, I don’t mock/ridicule/scorn their beliefs and they don’t mine.
It’s a respect thing. If you have religious people in your life that would do that to you, they are not your friends.
Johnny Graves
No
Gary W. Jackson
Not really. I tend to keep quiet on the issue unless something happens to highlight hypocrisy or harms the rights of others. Lately I’m probably doing a LOT of offending. I don’t think a lot of believers realize how domineering and hostile their religions really are.
J.r. Graff
Maybe I’m offended at what THEIR RELIGION and IT’S ACTIONS & WORDS have caused when it comes to GLBT’s being taunted, abused, murdered or driven to suicide?? Oh, but we have to be respectful of their faith……. (which cannot be proven to be true.) Faith is not fact. ‘Nough said.

Jeffrey Thomas
Why? Many religious people never worry about offending others. How many times have you heard people called evil or sinners or told they are going to burn in hell because of someone else’s religious beliefs? You should be asking them that question.

Jesse Santillano
Nope and at the same time they have no need to worry about offending me if they believe. To each their own.
Louis
Hell no if they cant handle the truth about the hatred and intolerance their religion perpetuates against others in this world then they are not my friends to begin with.
The people I know who are religious respect what I have to say and thankfully the ones I know are actual and true representations of religion which would be people who actually are loving and nonjudgmental and accepting and caring .
Id fight for them and they would fight for me thankfully I was lucky in that regard.
Its also called free speech for a reason its not just designated for religious people its also our right to express how WE feel and what WE think about things we deem intolerant or unjust or divisive .
