We’re going to be honest here — even before this ad surfaced, Domino’s pizza already left a bad taste in our mouths.
But we’ll never be able to get this image of a tongue dressed up in bondage gear out of our heads. It was never actually run, but was a pitched idea to promote their sriracha pizza.
“It’s real,” Domino’s spokesman Tim McIntyre told People. “The ad was created and pitched by an agency to the independent franchise in Israel. It never ‘officially’ appeared anywhere, because it was ill-advised, unfunny and not brand-appropriate,” McIntyre explained. “In a word, it was stupid.”
The ad reads, “You’re going to suffer and enjoy every moment,” but if they were going for accuracy they would have ended the sentence after “suffer.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Looking at the ad. So insane. Laughing my a** off!

Not sure why you had to throw the dig in… For national chains, they are probably the best in terms of taste and quality and price. Sure, they have a long gone history of being homophobic, but so does every company.

Yes it is very funny!

Domino’s Pizza: While Domino’s does not directly contribute to anti-gay activity, founder Tom Monaghan has contributed heavily to initiatives and organizations that oppose the rights of GLBTs. He is a co-founder of the Thomas More Law Center, which is advocating in court to restrict access to domestic partner benefits, and in 2001 financed a ballot proposal in Ypsilanti, MI to remove sexual orientation from that city’s non-discrimination ordinance. David Brandon, the current board chair, also opposes gay marriage. The current CEO, Patrick Doyle, donates to conservative and Republican causes which are known for their anti-gay stances. Competitor Pizza Hut, owned by Yum! Brands, scores a 70 on the Equality Index compared to Domino’s score of 35.
There are so many more options for actual pizza out there, why would anyone pay for crap that tastes like a round piece of cardboard with watered down ketchup on it???? Especially when the founder is an abhorrent, vile, disgusting, hate filled pig………………

Well, you’d have to put me in chains, starve me, beat me, and then you’d still have to mash Domino’s pizza and force it down my throat through a feeding tube.

@PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS: Exactly. In addition to being infested with hate, Domino’s is gross. Buy your pizza from a locally owned and operated Pizza Parlor in your own neighborhood. Support the local economy, not corporate America.

@oldbrit: Have to agree with you there. I have a small Italian restaurant near me, locally owned, and their pizza blows the chain pizzas out of the water.

Actually, the ad would suit the tenor of most of these born agains. The whole trip is S/M, maybe that’s why I never particularly liked them or Folsom St.
