Today in Republican firsts and seconds: Fred Karger becomes the first Republican candidate to declare his presidential candidacy, rolling into D.C. to file his paperwork (and meet with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, who Karger says “rolled out the red carpet”). And Mike Huckabee becomes the second (unofficial) Republican candidate, after Tim Pawlenty, to advocate for the reinstatement of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
