With news that Donald Trump aspired to make everyone feel doubly hungover and depressed on the heels of Labor Day Weekend, the president announced his intention to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) the American immigration policy founded by Obama’s administration in June 2012.

Suffice to say, this news didn’t sit so well with Cher, who fired off one of her celebrated Tweets to castigate Trump and his race-baiting cronies:
Those Who Can Must Take a DREAMER In2 Their Home & Protect Them??I’m Ready 2 Do This & ??Others in MY BUSINESS WILL DO THE SAME??SANCTUARY
— Cher (@cher) September 5, 2017
Seeing as Cher has 3.4 million followers, it was only a matter of time before some squawking reptile clawed her way out of a gulley to castigate the pop star for her political views. The prophesy was fulfilled at the hands of unwitting Twitterer “Brenda,” who thought it prudent to respond thus:
Well, as you can see below, Cher was none too happy at the intrusion, and took it upon herself to casually eviscerate Brenda:
Then keep your eyes open bitch
— Cher (@cher) September 5, 2017
We hope you’ve learned your lesson, Brenda. You don’t ever go after Cher, unless you’re ready for Cher to come after you.

Keep it classy there, Cher. Hollywood also claimed it was relocating to Canada if Trump won and they’re all…still…here. I don’t BELIEVE you, either. You might end up eating your words and wishing you could TURN BACK TIME. Mic drop, no more puns. ?
Bromancer7
I don’t recall anyone from Hollywood saying they would relocate to Canada if Trump won, but I do remember a slew of Republicans claiming they would leave the US if Obama won — yet they are all still here.
Cher has more class in an eyelash than you’ll ever have. LMFAO. Mic drop that.
am_psi
Just google “celebrities moving to Canada” and you’ll find a whole slew of them, including Cher, who — surprise surprise — didn’t go anywhere.
jorgecruz
If a bitch is gonna try and do a mic drop than she should at least make sure her shit isn’t corny. Cher has never pretended to be classy and I see no reason for her to start now. Keep it real, f%ck classy.

@Luna1979
It’s funny that all of these celebrities always say they’ll move to Canada because of Trump’s comments about illegal Mexicans. Why don’t they ever offer to move to Mexico?
dancp
UM, Cher said Jupiter… not Canada. It was obviously a joke. Unless you actually believe humans are capable of moving to Jupiter… Which, since trumpanzees believe the earth is flat, and climate change is a hoax, they might as well believe when you fall off the edge of the earth you land in Jupitah.
captainburrito
Some celebrities clearly said it as a joke, as part of skits or saying they would move to Jupiter like Cher. Some did seem serious however and yet none of them have moved.
mhoffman953
So how many illegals has she taken in? And how many illegals have the others in her industry taken in?
I thought the article was going to show us but it just showed Cher calling that other person a bitch
graphicjack
She tweeted that she wanted to take in a DREAMER just yesterday. Do you think she has superpowers that she can just find someone and take them into her home in a day? You look foolish, son. Have a seat.
Ummmm Yeah
The answer to that question is the same as how many maids does she have.
mhoffman953
@graphicjack
Illegal immigrants have been in this country for years. They didn’t all arrive yesterday. I figured with Cher’s vocal beliefs during the past Presidential election that she would’ve housed at least 1 refugee or illegal immigrant since she supports their arrival to this country.
Instead she’ll just write about it on Twitter.
Funny that all of the super rich liberals who advocate for these things don’t actually do these things (i.e. bringing in migrants but refusing to house them or preaching against walls but living in a gated community surrounded by walls or arguing against guns but being protected by armed guards)
captainburrito
It really wouldn’t be hard for her to rent a house for a few of them given her wealth. Or even give them staff quarters at her residence. But time will tell.
am_psi
Cher and J.K. Rowling should pool their billions and buy a place for all the unwanted of the world, preferably in a country that doesn’t border the U.S.
Alexis
I know, otherwise, they will just keep being marginalized like the ‘faux’ homosexuals.
KMF11
what a piece of shit you are sir!
it amazes me how generous people are with other peoples money…
captainburrito
More would still come. Your borders aren’t secure. Your economy also needs them.
States like Arizona, Alabama and North Carolina all passed laws to get rid of them. They left and they felt the economic loss so they all rescinded them. Produce rotted in the fields and farm / factory jobs were unfilled.
Trump himself uses foreign labour for his resorts and that is arguably an industry that needs them least. Agriculture is understandable as otherwise many farms would close or leave. But his resort isn’t going anywhere and he raised the annual fees. He’s paying the foreign workers $13-15 I think, if he raised it a bit more Americans would do it.
Wages would rise and businesses would close, so I can’t see Republicans coming down on it too hard for long.
jorgecruz
If we had stronger immigration laws 120 years ago there would be no Republicans in the US. You think you all originated here? Most Republicans are whites of european descent and just how the hell do you think you got in this country, by invitation? We were short on assholes so we called your grandparents to come on over?
KaiserVonScheiss
Do people not understand separation of powers? Congress writes the law, and the president enforces the law.
Article I vests the legislative powers to congress, and specifically states that congress has the authority to make the laws of naturalisation.
Pres. Obama just flatly ignored the law. And Trump isn’t deporting Dreamers. Congress has six months to come up with a solution or Trump will enforce the law because that’s his job. If you don’t like the law, ask congress to change it.
captainburrito
Is DACA against the law? If so, what were the court rulings?
As far as i know, DAPA which was an expansion of DACA was blocked by a federal district and circuit court. The Supreme Court affirmed by 4v4 since Scalia was dead.
Congress passed the DACA legislation but only in one chamber each time as the party flipped. In the absence of their legislation they couldn’t stop Obama, that is how I understand it. They did try to stop it when a Republican in the House passed a law defund it but that failed to pass the Senate. But even if it passed the program was funded via application fees and not Congress. So it is really the inability of Congress to do their job that has left this vacuum. It is a bit like how Obama was able to order federal agencies to recognize same sex marriages of couples that got married in one state but were residing in a state that didn’t recognize it.
Congress didn’t put in an explicit rule which let him go with place of celebration as the criteria and allow more same sex marriages to obtain federal benefits until Obergefell settled it.

Does Cher know hire, feed, shelter or encourage one to stay when knowing one’s illegal status is violation of federal law?
Here is the law.

They think it’s ok to break some laws if they disagree with them
Imagine if this was during the Obama administration and gun shops sold automatic weapons because they didn’t agree with the law banning automatic weapons. Those gun shop owners would be thrown in jail and lose their business licenses. Same applies here.
Those people broke the law
captainburrito
Dreamers have work permits from the DACA program. So they can work and stay as long as they possess that and it needs to be renewed every 3 years I think.
She lives in California I believe which is also a sanctuary state. So the state authorities will not actively investigate anyway. Of course, federal authorities could but I think their priority are those who are explicitly illegal and committed crimes. Going after them elicits less sympathy so it is best they don’t take action till the laws are passed.
