Duggar Family Member Joins Anti-Gay Family Research Council

duggar

When 19 Kids and Counting, the show about the amazingly fertile Duggar clan, returns to TLC on April 2, eldest son Josh Duggar will have some great news for his family: He got a job—with the anti-LGBT Family Research Council!

Josh (center) has been given a senior executive position, according to sources inside the rabidly homophobic org, which has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Buzzfeed reports:

Duggar will be in charge of FRC Action, the organization’s lobbying arm, sources told BuzzFeed.

“FRC Action (formerly American Renewal), the non-profit and tax-exempt legislative action arm of Family Research Council, was founded in 1992 to educate the general public and cultural leaders about traditional American values and to promote the philosophy of the Founding Fathers concerning the nature of ordered liberty,” according to FRC Action’s website.

Here are some of FRC’s greatest hits:

“While activists like to claim that pedophilia is a completely distinct orientation from homosexuality, evidence shows a disproportionate overlap between the two. … It is a homosexual problem.” — FRC President Tony Perkins

“[W]elcoming open homosexuality in the military would clearly damage the readiness and effectiveness of the force – in part because it would increase the already serious problem of homosexual assault in the military.” —FRC senior fellow Peter Sprigg

“Gaining access to children has been a long-term goal of the homosexual movement.” — Robert Knight, FRC director of cultural studies

We suppose we can’t get too angry at Josh, though: he and his wife just announced they’re expecting their third child, and babies don’t pay for themselves.

Well, not until they get you a reality show, anyway.

Remember the good old days when farming accidents took care of overpopulation? I wonder why these hypocritical asshats embrace every bit of godless technology except birth control.

  • LaTeesha

Why would anyone be surprised? These folks have been white trash for quite some time.

  • queerty1958

    How sad!

The Dugger’s feel all their children are a gift from God. Nope. It just show they like to fuck. A lot!

  • Gigi Gee

I refuse to watch that show.

  • LubbockGayMale

Yet another reason to NOT watch that show… Good lord folks, use birth control!

  • Sammy Schlipshit

Odds are there is at least one homosexual child in that family. I can’t imagine the torture that he/she must be going through.

  • D9W

Sound like we need to put him on Change.org to get TLC to kick the family to the curb.

  • Sammy Schlipshit

@D9W: Sadly it’s all about ratings and money. TLC (which should take ‘Learning’ out of it’s title) doesn’t give a shit about the damage those freaks are doing to the population nor hatred they spread.

  • MickeyP.

@Sammy Schlipshit: I was thinking the exact same thing! With all those kids, one has got to be gay! I hope for his/her sake that they run away so they can have the life they deserve.

  • Tone

    Stupid is as stupid does.

  • Modernliving3

    @D9W: I agree!

Once again TLC (The Leering Channel) has drug back the Duggar litter. Time for a name change, how about “Josh & the baby machine”?

  • Cam

Actually, a friend who watches the show “yes, it’s really a friend, haven’t seen it” :), told me that this son came off as gay.

I would say that joining the FRC pretty much proves that the guy is a closet case.

  • darkmoonman

In this case, birth control could have fixed so many problems.

I am at a loss for words. No words can describe how idiotic the Duggar Clan is. It’s interesting how they keep saying that “God will provide for them,” when, actually, I’ve heard that local businesses and private individuals donate to them. Along with the reality show, this is how they are able to keep food on the table for the kids in their “compound.” Very strange…

Ya know, I think in the early nineteenth century they may have been on to something when it came to sterilization of the mentally incompetent.

  • Daniel-Reader

Overpopulation remains the #1 threat to the health and wellbeing of the entire planet. How irresponsible to endanger everyone by over-reproducing. There is not enough fresh water to sustain the human population, much less a food supply.

  • Rob

Yawn. The SPLC IS a hate group. Their Enemies List is mildly amusing, but pathetic.

  • Rob

@Chad Hunt: Worked for the Germans in the 30s-40s. Gotta keep the Volk healthy, right?

  • Snickers

@Sammy Schlipshit: YES!!! That was my first thought!!! At some point there is going to be one HELL {literally and figuratively!!!} of a set of conversations in that family…..at least four shows worth!!! The oldest kid now works for a major anti-gay organization and let’s get real, what are the odds that NONE of his EIGHTTEEN siblings are gay or lesbian??? For all we know, the oldest Josh is a major closet-case who figured working for the Family Council was a good place to hide or support his self-denial.)
“And after this commercial, Josh come flying out of the closet, causing his parents to faint, and little brother & sister John and Sarah to do a fist pump and mutter, “YES!! I’m not the only one!!!”

  • Devin

IF you didn’t know by now ….. the Mormons and other religious sects demand that members produce as many offspring as possible to keep the religion viable. If you produce 20 new members to brainwash from birth you are a HERO

  • dkmagby

@Devin: well a religion that was really a cult…its the only way to recruit.

  • balehead

Please let Harvey Levin of TMZ know you are not fans of this family!!…he thinks they are amazing!…

  • LadyL

Somehow… this doesn’t surprise me at all.

  • LadyL

@Cam: Of course. In the saddest of all possible ways it makes perfect sense. The only question in my mind is did Young Josh join “willingly” or was he coerced by his parents?

  • Polaro

Just one more reason to hate that Duggar family, and I already found them repugnant.

  • scotshot

@dkmagby:Catholicism ad many other religions mandate child bearing also, But all religion is a cult.

  • scotshot

@scotshot: I seem to have lost spelling and proper capitalization rules above^…
