Wes Anderson’s latest venture into quirky, character-driven movies revolves around Sam, a 12-year-old Boy Scout who runs away with his crush, sending both their parents into a tizzy. Anderson perfectly melds whimsy, wonder and humanity with an all-star cast that includes Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Bruce Willis. The scant extras, a trio of brief featurettes, suggest a souped-up Criterion edition may follow at some point.

It’s a fascinating, moving and sometimes humorous documentary—if you haven’t heard Wright’s music before, this is an excellent intro. Extras include the featurette “Chely At Home With Her Wife.”
