The government shutdown can’t pull the plug on great home entertainment this week. Pacific Rim

Prayers For Bobby

A powerful Lifetime movie, about the real-life, profound transformation of a deeply religious mother, Mary, following her tortured gay son’s suicide, features a bravura performance from Sigourney Weaver. This DVD re-release includes a handful of extras: cast interviews, behind the scenes, a featurette about the film’s road to the GLAAD Awards, and pro-gay PSAs from Weaver and Daniel Radcliffe.
