THE SCREENING ROOM

DVD: “Rosemary’s Baby,” Kathy Griffin, “Genesis and Lady Jaye,” And More!

Halloween week offers up some ghoulish—and completely non-ghoulish—films: Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan have a storybook romance in Ruby Sparks, while Mia Farrow brings new meaning to mother’s intuition in the re-release of Rosemary’s Baby. Kathy Griffin brings the laughs with Red, White & Raw; while cult director David DeCoteau offers up even more hunky boys in danger in 2: Voodoo Academy (above).

The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye
($29.95 DVD, New Yorker Films)

Here, documentarian Marie Losier explores Genesis P-Orridge’s life and career,  his unique relationship with Breyer, and the mercurial nature of gender. Extras include outtakes and interviews, as well as Losier’s short film “Papal Broken-Dance” and Bryin Dall’s “Waiting to Go.”
