Eddie Redmayne Shocks Jennifer Lawrence With His Unfortunate Modeling Photos

JLER

National treasure Jennifer Lawrence brings out the realness in people. While guesting on The Graham Norton Show, she and fellow Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne discussed their early and not terribly successful careers as models. The two accomplished actors, who could both be up for Oscars again for their lead roles in Joy and The Danish Girl respectively, once tried to make it as clothing models. Redmayne was photographed in an exceptionally hideous sweater before he worked with top lensers such as Mario Testino for a Burberry campaign. The actor then launches into a devastating imitation of the photographer.

Lawrence shares her own misadventures in the modeling industry when she worked on a football-inspired photo shoot for Abercrombie & Fitch that was never published.

“The other models were like, playing football in a pretty way,” she tells Norton. “But not me! [In] all of the photos I’ve got a red face, covered in sweat, my nostrils are flared… At one point, a girl yelled, ‘Get her away from me!’”
