Sen. Elizabeth Warren has become a viral sensation after her response to a question during the LGBTQ issues CNN Town Hall forum.
During the course of Warren’s Q&A, a man in the audience asked for her hypothetical response if a voter approached her insisting that marriage should only be between one man and one woman. The Massachusetts Senator didn’t hesitate with her response.
“I’m going to assume it was a guy who said that,” Warren quipped to laughs from the crowd. “And I’m going to say then just marry one woman. I’m cool with that!” Her remarks invited laughter and thunderous applause from the audience.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“Assuming you can find one,” Warren then added, fueling the cheers in the crowd.

Warren then went on to affirm that she has always supported marriage equality, even growing up in a conservative household. She further elaborated that her religious upbringing taught her that the world is full of different kinds of people, all of whom have worth, and all of whom are part of God’s creation.

At present, Warren vies with former Vice President Joe Biden as the frontrunner for the 2020 Democratic nomination. Polls have her beating Donald Trump in a head to head matchup by about ten points.

We’ve finally crossed that line where supporting LGBT rights is seen as a must as a serious Democratic candidate.
Just like supporting bigotry and discrimination against us is a must for a Republican candidate.
truthseeker
Must be widdle Cammy’s first election if he thinks all of these Democrats running care about him
You know it’s election season when Democrats are arguing over who loves gays more. Every 4 years
Mikelaw
I really don’t care if they care. The reality is that they aren’t looking to take away or minimize my rights whereas the Republicans can’t wait to do that.

@Mikelaw
Right, those pandering Democrats don’t have a history of taking away your rights. Even though, Democrat President Bill Clinton signed DADT and DOMA but people like you told us to vote for his wife in 2016 because this time will be different
They just want your vote but when they’re elected, they’ll do nothing for you or your interests
Now Democrats want us to vote for the guy who supported the Iraq war. Sure, Jan

Truthseeker.must be either too dull or too young (or both) to understand the original intention of DADT. As for DOMA, Clinton had little choice. But now, as his leaders (from whose fecal matter his tomgue is stained.brown) are.poised to make the firing of LGBT people easier, he once again lies about how the right is our.friend.
It constantly amazes me how the right lies and projects. A.prime example being “truthseeker” who seems to dissemble as.easily as he breathes
The right is not a friend to LGBT people. Those who claim otherwise are either dullards or advancing a regressive agenda.

Warren’s attempt at levity did not impress me. Warren doesn’t impress me at all.
I’m Team Pete. Pete Buttagieg for President!

I have another one. The next time some politician claims that he/she is only defending “family values”, the reply could indicate that the first thing to do is to reduce the divorce rate between men and women that disrupts children’s development – It occurs in overwhelming far greater numbers than the incidence of divorce between couples of the same gender!

This was not a “HOMOPHOBE”! Morgan Cox is a gay married man from DFW, TX, father of two (2) beautiful children and Chair of the Human Rights Council Board of Directors. He was proposing a “hypothetical”. He is not a homophone! Get your facts straight… There is nothing worse than media/journalists telling lies about the facts…
Darryl
Just as I thought!!
Thank you for posting! Queerty needs to fix this!!!
Kieran
If marriage really was supposed to be between “one man and one woman” than divorce would be outlawed.

It’s almost an embarrassing for the person in 2019 that is still ranting about being against marriage between two people of the same gender. I have conservative family members like many people do and they are strong advocate supporters for same sex marriage. It’s time to get out of the archaic superstitious view of being anti-gay and evolve already for chrissakes.
Darryl
I really don’t believe this young man is a homophobe. He was quite delighted with Warren’s response. I think Queerty owes the guy a retraction and a huge apology!!
Aromaeus
Are you going to update the story about how the guy who asked the question is one of Warren’s maxed out donor’s and a former chair of The Human Rights Campaign? This was clearly a staged question and answer to get a viral soundbite.
