Ellen, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro & More Bring Mannequin Challenge To White House

Robert De Niro may be as fine an American actor as they come, but when it comes to the mannequin challenge, he could use some serious pointers.

Yesterday, President Obama gave his final Presidential Medals of Freedom to 21 recipients including Diana Ross, Tom Hanks, Melinda Gates, Robert De Niro and Ellen DeGeneres.

If you haven’t seen the president’s remarks for Ellen, we can’t recommend them enough.

Sometime before or after the ceremony, the famous recipients found themselves in a White House holding room with apparently little to do.

So they went for the mannequin challenge, kicking it off with Robert De Niro staring squarely into the camera and blinking as if to say, “What in the actual hell are we doing?”
