Elton John Believes Miley Is Close To A Meltdown And Can’t Get Through To Gaga

Elton_John_2011_Shankbone_2I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen. And she’s so young! But she’s got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?

With Gaga — who I love, she’s the godmother to our children — I’d like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can’t get through to her. And there are times when you have to listen. When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place. Once you have people around you who don’t question you, you’re in a dangerous place.”

Come on everybody, it’s clear as day Gaga is falling apart. Don’t blame Elton. She was on Watch What Happens Live last week and it was the lowest rated episode of the week! C list celebrities beat her out.

I’ve been a Gaga fan ever since I first heard “Just Dance” but I think there is something to what Elton John is saying. As an fan and outside observer, it does seem that the persona of Gaga has taken over the pop star Lady Gaga. I guess I miss the girl who carried a keyboard around to radio shows and busted her ass showcasing her talents and proving herself. Now, she seems more focused on the spectacle (of performance) and to rely more and more on backing tracks.
