Student leaders across the country have petitioned their universities and student unions to give Chick-fil-A the boot because of its donations to anti-gay causes.
Well, it appears they’ve gotten their way at Emory Univeristy.
Think Progress reports that, according to the student newspaper the Emory Wheel, the new layout for the campus food court doesn’t include a spot for a Chick-fil-A.
Last year, the Student Government Association passed a resolution opposing the chain and asking the school to send it packing. Administrators denied the request. But students kept at it, and it appears they’ve won.
Ironically, Emory is located in Atlanta, only about 20 miles away from Chick-fil-A’s corporate headquarters. How you like them waffle fries?

“Some day, somebody’s gonna make you wanna gobble up a waffle fry
But don’t go dontcha know Chick-Fil-A say you make the baby Jesus cry…”

They had one day of great sales on that “Appreciation Day” since then sales in some areas are down, and they are now losing franchises.
Bigotry is costing them money.
And before any of you right wing trolls come in and claim that poor Chik Fil Et is being bullied just for their opinion I would point out two things.
1. Chik Fil Et Money was funnelled to groups supporting Ugandan politicians trying to pass the “Kill The Gays Bill” so please don’t claim that Chik Fil Et wasn’t attacking gays.
2. Demanding that people opposed to what the owner says should NOT boycott his restaurants is an infringement on OUR free speech and anti-capitalist. He doesn’t get to say what he wants with zero consequences.

I wish they’d open a Chick-Fi-A in London so I could help get it closed down…. eeer
