As planned, members of the Westboro Baptist Church picketed Kim Davis’ office, huddling outside the Rowan County Clerk’s office for approximately half an hour today.
While you’d assume Westboro and Davis would be allies — they’re at least united in their virulently antigay stances — the Church decided to take aim at Davis’ prolific marital history and claim she’s “living in sin.”
According to a statement by the group: “Kim claims that she has lived in proud sin for many years, divorcing and remarrying, not one time or two times — in fact, you need a score card to keep track.”

Standing on the lawn, members of Westboro wielded signage with clever slogans like “Christians’ caused f*g marriage,” “Divorce + marriage = adultery,” “Divorce remarriage & same-sex ‘marriage’ are all sin,” and “God hates fa* enablers.”
A statement from the Church reads:
If Kim Davis received mercy from God and grace, as she claims, she would, with all due haste put her sin away. She would mourn for her sins, and in a show of great mercy, she would be busy apologising to the fags for enabling them, and she would, with all diligence, give those perverts a marriage license. Kim Davis has decided that her adultery is less sin, than the sin of the sodomites.

For once in their crazy lives, Westboro is at least partially right in their assertion that Kim thinks her sin is less bad than the sins of gay people.
As far as “mourning for her sins” goes, that is not necessary since Jesus took care of them. That is not scriptural at all. We should be joyous in what God has done for us. She has been saved by grace through faith and not the result of works, according to the Bible. So Westboro is wrong there.
Both Westboro and Kim have another thing wrong, a common flaw in fundies. The wages of sin is death. One sin is no worse than another because sin is disconnecting from God. The wrong things we do are evidence of our sin nature. Jesus spoke frequently of the sin of divorce except for adultery. However, since there are many gay Christians and God does not make a person straight when he or she gets saved, it follows that being a homosexual is not a sin ore evidence of sin in your life.

I LOVE IT!! It’s like watching Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant in the 1980s — you despise both of them, so you can’r really cheer for either side, you just hope they inflict maximum damage on each other!

I once read the outside of an ant poison box. The premise was that the ants would take these bits of toxic food back to the nest and feed it to the queen. Once the queen died, anarchy ensued and the two ant colonies would turn on each other. War would break out and the drama rivaled the stories of Greek mythology. MilitANTS vs ProtestANTS.

Well if the Westboro Baptist Church thinks Kim Davis is evil, she has another enemy, along with millions of Americans.

This is why Kim Davis never made person of the year for Time Magazine. If Westboro Baptist Church hates her. SHE MUST BE BAD NEWS!!! For once I’ll have to agree, WBC got it right
