Queen Elizabeth attended Ladies Day at Royal Ascot yesterday where she donned a pink tweed coat and matching pink hat.
On the brim of the hat were several rainbow colored roses that many are now interpreting as a subtle English nod to the LGBTQ community during Pride season.
Hmmm. Let’s take a closer look…
Yep! Looks gay to us!
Technically, the 92-year-old monarch is required to remain neutral on social and political issues, but every now and then she let’s it slip that she’s totally down with the gays.
Most recently she affirmed a commitment to tackle antigay discrimination during her closing of Parliament speech in 2017.
Happy Pride, everyone. And God Save the Queen!

Yay Queen Elizabeth! Thanks for your support!

Royalty are exemplary at extreme subtlety.
Navalator
Absolutely correct. You summed it up perfectly.

If you say so, but then she always wears bright colors.

If that’s subtle, it’s really subtle

Elizabeth has to be very careful regarding social issues. But if she has recognized the marriage that is coming up of her cousin, she is obviously not against the LGBT Community, especially with what she said in Parliment. Too bad so many her age are such stick in the muds about it. It’s OK. The wheels are still moving forward. Slowly, but they are moving. Equality will come at last. Me at 73, I will not live to see it but it will come.

Well said young man.

She has not recognised the marriage of her cousin. And she almost certainly will not attend. Moreover, she’s never once uttered a single word of support for the gay community. Which makes this story totally ridiculous.

What she said in Parliament were not technically her words, the speech is written by the government in power. It’s as if the State of the Union speech were given by a neutral speaker.
I’m not saying she may or may not believe what is said, but she’s just the messenger.

All political/ government leaders have speech writers. In fact, it is well-known that many of the lauded presidential quotes of the past were said by the president an attributed to that president for all time, but were penned by their speech writers. Nevertheless, the speechwriters do write these speeches in the style, tone, and sentiments of the person speaking. And, the leaders can take out and add what they want along the way, and they do. All this being said, if QEII left the pro-LGBTQ words in her Parliamentary speech, then she endorsed it. There are no guards behind the curtain ready to shoot her had she just left them out if she did not want to say them. If you watch The Crown on TV, you will see this lady has always been strong, firm, yet also like to mixed things up! Cudos to the Queen, because I fully believe she supports all of her subjects, including our gay community. Long live the Queen!!

Simetimes pink is just pink.

Unlike our poor excuse for a First Lady. Queenie’s hats are signals stupid! Her “anti Brexsit and pro EU” was reflected in her hat decoration when she did a downscale opening of Parliament with Chuckie at her side.

‘her speech’ was a speech written by the Govt of the UK, not penned by her, just read out by her.
broadshoulder
Sorry, but the Queen doesn’t do messages. She reads whatevers given to her

The gays have been 75% of the working force running riveted royal homes and palaces. Why? They keep secrets better then straight employees. With the exception of Diana’s butler. But as she outed herself in the book on tape to Morton, no big surprise! Even with confidentiality agreements it’s hard being a royal. Wiretaps, phone calls listened to and reported illegally, unethical nude or partially nude photos with $10,000 1/2 km long range camera lens. They are not respected by the press. The gays in the palace are a must have. And remember theymistly shut up about everything and get only minimum wage, as well!

I used to live in Windsor, and trust me a lot of the castle staff are queens

And likes it that way
