“During the course of their investigation, police determined that the man, later identified as Ezra Miller, became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke,” read the Hawaii Police Department report.

“Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense). The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail.”

Miller identifies as queer, having dated both men and women, and considers themself gender fluid/nonbinary. They will next appear in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore due out next month.

This isn’t Miller’s first run-in with the law.

In 2011, police in Pittsburgh arrested Miller after discovering marijuana during a traffic stop. Miller faced a penalty of $600 for two citations of disorderly conduct as a result. Publicly, the actor also defended smoking of the drug, calling it “harmless.”

In 2020, a video of Miller went viral on social media in which they appeared to choke a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. Employees escorted Miller from the premises, and police were not called to the scene.
