A note on [email protected] reveals that the social-media giant will be filing a brief this week in opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8, both of which are before the Supreme Court in March:
This week, Facebook is proudly joining many other businesses in submitting briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court supporting same-sex marriage. The briefs explain to the Court how the Defense of Marriage Act and California’s Proposition 8 discriminate against employees in same-sex marriages and create undue burdens on companies and employees.
We’ll post links to both filings on the [email protected] page when they are available.
That’s a status update we can get behind!

I wonder if Chris Christie will veto it.

I’m hoping that Chris Christie will finally show some intelligence and change his toon about gay marriage. He doesn’t seem to be of the “Michelle Bachman/Marco Rubio ilk who is only out to advance their personal agendas of hate and intolerance. If Tim Tebow can reject hatred then I’m sure Chris Christie can too. The repugnant-clans are slowly coming around, I.E. John Huntman. If the repugnant-clans can disavow the tea party and the Christian Taliban then maybe they can start winning a few election honestly instead of gerrymandering the entire country in order to rig elections. Isn’t an HONEST election better?
