As police continue to investigate a possible antigay hate crime perpetrated by members of the Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of North Dakota, the father of the alleged victim, Dan Gisvold, has come forward to express his anger over the situation.

“To have four guys jump you, strip you of your clothes and your dignity, and then whip you with a belt like an animal — if that’s not a hate crime I don’t know what a hate crime is,” he told Nicole Johnson of local NBC affiliate KVLY.
“You’re going to run across people who are homophobic anywhere you go. At least there are some good people around that campus that night who were willing to step up,” he continued.

Happened to stumble across an article where the president of an alumni group of this frat is going around saying how unlikely it is that a member of the frat is involved, because he was is openly gay and was elected to his position. Also, he has personally never heard anyone say anything antigay. All I can do when I heard him say that was roll my eyes. So because they’ve never mistreated you or said anything against you that means that must mean that all gay people must get the same treatment?
