At Flour Bluff High School, senior Bianca “Nikki” Peet has unsuccessfully tried to convince school administrators in Corpus Christi, Texas, to let her start a gay-straight alliance. Rather than sign off on a proposal to let disgusting faggots meet on school property, Superintendent Julie Carbajal has kicked every student group off campus. Enter a planned protest for Friday at 9am — with an open invite to other student groups, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, to take part in retaliation for being pushed off school grounds. Does Flour Bluff have any plans to change things up on Friday in anticipation of the student demonstration? Nope. Students will still be taking the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test that day. Organizing the protest with Peet is Paul Rodriguez, president of the Gay-Straight Alliance at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, who says he already has the go-ahead from police.

Update: the school-district will allow GSA to meet at the school. The board will review the policy on all non-curriculum related clubs over the summer, so that decision may not last long.
