LET'S BE FRANK

Frank Ocean To Appear On VMAs, Musical Guest On SNL Premiere

It’s too early to tell how Frank Ocean‘s coming out will ultimately affect his career, but the Odd Future member is having one hell of a winning streak: The Grammy nominee is set to perform at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards and is rumored to be the musical guest on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

At the VMAs on September 6, Ocean joins mega-stars like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Pink and Green Day, as well as fellow rising stars One Direction. According to MTV, presenters include the Wanted, Andy Samberg, Rashida Jones, 2 Chainz, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller and  U.S. Women’s Olympics Gymnastics Team, who snagged gold in the London Games. Comedian Kevin Hart is hosting.

Less than a week later on September 15, SNL is scheduled to return for its 38th season (!). Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is the host, and Oh No They Didn’t is reporting that Ocean will be the musical guest, calling him the “perfect choice.”

We can’t argue with that.
