Gay (and trans) porn stars can become reality TV stars, scandalous film actors, inspirational speakers, right-wing tyrants, and alleged murderers, and convicted murderers. Why not real estate moguls? That’s the story of Fredrik Elkund, known to some as Tag Eriksson.
Profiled by the Times, the Swedish gay ex-porn star (read: not gay-for-pay) is now moving condos in New York City for the likes of Cameron Diaz, Daniel Craig, Jessica Alba, and the Olsen twins, because that is how we measure success. Now that part isn’t new.
But the Training Camp II and The Hole star (who wrote a book on his industry experience) is set to become a whole new brand of celebrity (or “mogul,” as the Times insists) with a Bravo reality show about selling real estate. But this wouldn’t be the world of porn without scandal: Elkund’s firm Core already films a show with HGTV called Selling New York, which might mean the David Barton-obsessed gym rat is forced to choose between an employer and insta-mainstream fame.
Guess how this one is going to turn out.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

@Max Simon: What a nasty, bitchy, snarky posting! Shame on you! I’ve met Fredrik in the past – he used to date a good friend – and he’s an articulate, ambitious, intelligent and nice guy. It is my understanding that he has a good professional reputation in NYC real estate circles. He’s successful. Kudos to “The NY Times” for profiling him. Re-read the profile and perhaps you’ll learn how to write a professional, intelligent piece. I realize that that’s probably an insurmountable challenge for your feeble mind but give it a shot. You might actually learn something.
We have a former President who is on a PR tour lying about how he ruined our country, a feeble minded Senator who will probably filibuster the repeal of DADT, countless homophobic foes stridently working to deny us our constitutional rights and you write a piece deliberately linking Fredrik to “alleged murderers” and “convicted murderers as opposed to celebrating a gay man’s success?!?” Get a life!
Jeff R
PS Feel free to speak with your colleague Daniel Villarreal – he’ll confirm that I’m a pretty good judge of character, something which you obviously lack.
Richie
I remember him!
McMike
I ran into him one night in NYC and he actually hit on me. I didn’t realize he was a porn star at the time.
Raul
HE IS HOT. LOVE HIM.

@jeff r:
This comment sounds like it was written by somebody with a bag over their mouths to keep from hyperventilating. If you reread the post, it was a comment that he was NOT a murderer etc… but a sucessful real estate agent.
jeff r
@Cam: With all due respect, I suggest that you reread the post. The tone was bitchy. The writer was essentially trashing anyone involved in porn, including Fredrik. He referred to his subject as a “David Barton obsessed gym-rat,” a wannabe reality star, etc. The “NY Times” profile was interesting and fair and balanced. It was not necessarily judgmental. This post fell far short of the mark. I’ve met Fredrik, he’s a nice guy, accomplished and I don’t think that he merited such a bitchy post. That’s my opinion.

BONEHEAD JEFF
@Jeff R: Remove tampon, rotate, re-insert. Feel better now?
So what if it the post was critical of past professional bone jockeys? If you choose a “career” in porn, you open yourself up to just a wee bit of judgment. Personally I find it far more fascinating what goes into the mindset of someone who thinks ‘gee, I’m bored of getting ass-pounded 24/7…I need something more challenging…like selling condos!” 🙂
I think you missed the point, dear. He wasn’t being compared to murderers. Just mocked a bit for trying to present himself as a philistine as opposed to the banana-hammock-wearing ass clown you see above.
I guess the better question is: why does it hit so close to home for you? The defensiveness meter needle jump off the scale and broke in your first (and second) responses there. Something more is going on there. Care to elaborate?
BTW, I always love the “he dated a friend” line. I might actually try and pull that one off about a president or a senator…but a porn star? High hopes, Jeffrey, high hopes.

the best way to handle negative people is to ignore them. just ignore them, no need to add to the hateful vitriol and name calling.

@BONEHEAD JEFF:
You sound super judgemental and bitchy about his past porn work. Why is that? Care to elaborate??
Porn is a multi billion dollar industry, and millions of people watch it, yet so many have these weird hypocritical judgements about the people who choose to do it, for their entertainment. So weird.
This guy hasn’t done porn in years, and has built up a highly successful real estate business here in New York. I say good for him, and continued success.

@Bonehead Jeff: Tampons may work for you but I’m a man so it’s a rather stupid suggestion. I also felt fine before I wrote the original comment and after. I would suggest, however, that you might want to fuck yourself with a hot sodering iron – it might do a world of good for you.
I’m glad that you “love the ‘he dated a friend’ line.” The truth is that he did and my partner and I dined with them several times – he even cooked dinner for us once and he’s a very good cook. I was substantiating the fact that I have met him, verifying my opinion that he’s a nice guy. The fact that I defend someone who has a past in porn is unimportant – the fact that you’re so pretentious that you imply that meeting a Senator or President is a goal that I should strive for is pathetic. Then again, Dear, so are you.
I don’t think that I “missed the point,” Dear, but you’re entitled to your opinion, however insipid it may be. In response to your query “Why does it hit so close to home for you?” my answer is simple: I know him and think that he was being treated unfairly. Although I haven’t spoken with him in several years I decided to come to his defense. That’s something that decent people do when friends and/or acquaintances are treated unfairly. I’m sure that’s an alien concept in your delusional universe. BTW, it’s Jeff, not Jeffrey.

I don’t like reality shows BUT after catching “selling Million $ NYC” I think he was interesting, intelligent, funny, insightful, and had charisma as well exceptionally good looking. No wonder he is selling to the stars and all the upper crust condos. If I were buying in NYC I would surly seek him out. NOW where do I find a copy of “The Hole” LOL
