French Model/Singer Quentin Elias Dies At 39

20140227-014500Actor, model, singer and brief porn model Quentin Elias has reportedly died in New York City this week at the age of 39.

A statement confirming the news was posted to Elias’ official Facebook page this afternoon following loose reports that he has a massive heart attack on a number of French websites. According to Elias’ management company, EventsLive Productions, the singer was confirmed dead in his home on February 25.

Elias is perhaps best known as the former lead singer of ’90s French boy band Alliage, and for his solo music career that began after he relocated to New York City in 2002. According to Obnoxious TV, he worked in NYC as a television actor, a stage actor, and a fashion model for Armani and Jean Paul Gaultier. In 2008, he appeared as the mysterious “Q” on gay porn site Randy Blue (NSFW).

Elias maintained an active Instagram account until his death—he prided himself on his natural physique, and encouraged others to exercise regularly without using performance-enhancing drugs.

Rest in peace, Quentin.

Was he featured in a documentary on Logo about butch vs fem gay stereotypes where he said “I can’t help it if I’m beautiful”?

Candidly addressing sexuality issues, when asked in an exclusive interview with Les inRocKs about possible homosexuality of members of various boybands of the time, and was this a taboo subject not to discuss at height of success he answered: “I don’t know, I am not gay, none of the other Alliage members were gay. Now, I don’t know about the sexuality in other bands”.

Wow, a massive heart attack took him down when he was in shape like that and supposedly avoided drugs? That’s surprising.

I doubt he was always steroid free if he died of a heart attack at age 39, unless he had some genetic defect in his heart, but those usually show up WAY before the age of 39 and certainly before the grueling workouts it would take to look like him.

      Very sad.

But it bothers me when people who already built their physiques up using steroids then claim it is all natural just because they stopped the gear.

That’s sad. He was a handsome guy. I heard, though, he was straight and had a girlfriend at the time. He liked that the media played his sexuality up but wasn’t afraid to let people think he was gay. RIP.

I know someone who used steroids every day for a year without knowing what he was doing. He got sculpted and looked great on the dance floor. It’s been 7 months since he stopped but his sex drive is nonexistent and he can’t ejaculate no matter how hard he tries. Not a drop. He’s got a nice dick but his balls look like grapes. NOT pretty…and he’s only 24.

Not worth it…unless all you want to do is look good no matter what the consequences are.

@Curtispsf, I hear you. Steroids are fine, though, if you know what you are doing. Sadly most guys don’t.

But it could also have been other drugs causing this, not necessarily steroids.

He was had been around for a very long time.

He wasn’t that known in the U.S. but had accomplished a lot in France. But he was aware of his heart condition.

      @B Damion:

He sounded like a really sweet guy. I think he probably had body issues, because he just kept on bulking up when he didn’t need to.

I really learned a lot about him from this interview.

That body definitely came from steroid use. I think it’s the other “treatments” that go along with the steroid use that cause the most damage to vital organs. To get that cut he would have been taking insulin and diuretics and other substances which really wreck havoc on your body.

@ Curtispsf Your friend has ruined his body’s ability to produce it’s own testosterone. It’s done for him. Guys who do this to themselves need to go to dr and get testosterone injections for the remainder if their lives. If he’d have been more careful he could have avoided this.

So many people keep saying “definitely steroids”, what proof is there other than an assumption based on his size? For one thing I don’t see one single picture with gyno-nipples. At that size with steroid use you would think he would have gyno-nipples. Also, his skull doesn’t look like it wants to come crashing through his face. Shouldn’t that also be a factor if he had gotten to that size based on steroid use? And how was he able to perform for Randy Blue if he was such a steroid user? At this point without real confirmation, I am not going to just jump on the bandwagon based on that_dude247’s and jbeau’s assumptions. It hasn’t even been confirmed that it was a heart attack and it IS possible for him to have had a congenital heart defect.

Anabolic steroids themselves are not the culprit, it is the locker room abuse of steroids by guys peddling bro-science that cause health problems and death. If you use steroids under medical supervision and don’t start abusing them because you want to look like Frankenstein, they can help guys who otherwise struggle to put on mass.

      Was he handsome ? Absolutely.

Did he have an incredible body ? Absolutely.

Do I believe he didn’t take steroids or some other drug to build that physique ? No way. Sorry. I’m not that naive. I have been working out for 20 years and I know what is possible without drugs.

So very true. The ignorance about anabolic/aerobic steroids and their potential positive use is astounding as evidenced in many of the smart-alecky comments here. This man obviously didn’t need to resort to locker-room bro-science with his means. His message about not using steroids was certainly meant to warn the vast majority out there who wanted to emulate him, but probably wouldn’t do so without proper medical supervision.

I am very sorry to hear this. We communicated through emails when he advertised to escort. When I brought up the music thing (as something in common) he became very defensive and didn’t want that association made. We never hooked up.

@DarkZephyr, you only get gyno, testicle shrinkage, erection problems, and enlarged bones and organs if you are stupid enough to do steroids the wrong way. Not if you do them the right way.

@DarkZephyr: I don’t know if you were being snarky…..but I took it as snarky…..because as we age, it becomes more impossible to have that sort of body without massive steroids…..and steroids will fuck with your heart. No doubt.
