In the wake of the historic 5-4 decision Supreme Court decision to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states corporate supporters came out of the woodwork to offer their congratulations and enthusiasm for the community through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and various social media platforms. Some of these companies have been loyal to the community for decades while other newbies have recently stepped up to the plate and offered their support.

The wrong side of history will be a very lonely place.

They are just trying to capitalise on the free advertising!!

Maker’s Mark also had a rainbow waxed bottle on their FB page the other day. Good bourbon, good supporter in Kentucky!

Does anybody seriously believe that these companies believe in gay rights? LOL. My view is that they believe in money.
It never ceases to amaze the number of gays who jump about like pop corn whenever a corporation claims to be on their side. It’s an embarrassing spectacle.
JessPH
That’s a lot of brands for bigots to boycott.

@Tricia Gatte Andrews:
That’s what I used to keep in the bottom drawer of my desk. The bottles kept developing leaks so I switched my office stock over to Jim Beam. Still does the job.

@jason smeds:
I’d have phrased it a little more diplomatically but by and large yours is a correct assertion. Not like the marketing people are a bunch of insincere, queer-hating bigots who’re just after our fag-dollars but dressing the brands up in rainbow colors and getting the names in front of more segments of an increasingly fragmented market is good business.

@Martin Shaw:
So what? That’s their job.

Glucklich, I don’t know how to do the dots over your “u” so forgive me. The last three comments were really fun.

No Apple or United Airlines? Interesting…..
LadyL
@gr8lthr Queerty offers the above as their favorite images; it doesn’t necessarily mean Apple and United haven’t offered congratulations.
…Thanks, Queerty for sharing. These are wonderful!
NateOcean
Easy to create a gay-pandering ad campaign *now*. Where were these companies a week ago, a year ago, a decade ago?
I’ll leave it to Queerty readers to decide which are true allies–in from the start, in for the long haul–and which are opportunistic Johnney-come-latelies.

Business is business. Support is support. It’s still spreading the word either way that gay = awesome and gay money is even awesomer! 😉

Corporate America wants your gay money.

Read this all and tell me if you still feel like celebrating .I want a reply .I ain’t a conservative,and I am a buddist so don’t label me with your hateful words bro.
The majority of intelligent life beings on other planets are against people being gay (there may be up to septillion intelligent life beings on other planets)
right NOW ,there are millions of countries on other intelligent life inhabitated planets where gay marriage is illegal forever or will stay illegal for thousands of years.And a lot of those countries are first world countries as advanced or more adavanced than the USA is now
right now there are thousands or even millions of planets with intelligent life on them outside our solar system,that as a whole are as anti gay as earth was pre 1900s.
plus,the many worlds interpretation says anything that could ever happen happens in some alternate reality, so you have to figure that there are alternate realities where gay marriage was never legalized in europe,usa,canada ever past present or future.
And what breaks my heart is that there may also be alternate realities where 90+ percent of americans are against people being gay in the 2010s,2020s,2040s,2050s,2060s
so what is your response, see how futile your celebrations are.love isn’t winning because gay marriage is still illegal on thousands or millions or billions of planets and will continue to be so on them for hundreds,thousands or millions of years or forever.And there is nothing you or your newspaper can do to stop that.
BTW rachel maddow kills innocent fish .Why don’t you protest her show.
David
I am moved and impressed with 50 ads celebrating the advent of marriage equality. Over the last few years, many have changed their minds and this is a very desirable effect. I don’t mind a Johnny-come-lately. I’d prefer a Johnny-come-lately over a Johnny that never came at all.
Lighten up and celebrate.
P.S. I *really* love the Maytag one!

Colin Ferguson as the Maytag Man is fiiiiiiine! He can fiddle with my agitator any time.

@OzJosh: I’d much rather give my Gay Money to companies which court us, than bother with stupid “chrish-chen” bigots who believe God Hates Fags, and we’re all goin’ ta hey-ull.
Some of these ads are ab-fab, but all are appreciated. My big fave is American Airlines. Thanks!!!
BlueDude
@lincolnlogs1111: Dude, are you for real, and which one of those planets are you from??? STFU, and go home.
gaym50ish
Poor Franklin Graham. He won’t be able to leave the house without patronizing one of the companies he thinks is doing the work of the Devil. And just when he probably took a huge interest penalty to move his ministry’s money from on gay-supportive bank to another.

@jwtraveler: And just what have YOU done to further the cause of gay rights in alternate realities?
