Gather Round Designers, Tim Gunn Is Chaperoning the Prom

QUEERTY APPROVED — With the dust up between Lifetime and Bravo, we’ve had to wait too long for Tim Gunn to tell designers to “make it work.” Enter the New York Public Library’s 5th Annual Anti-Prom, which went down on Friday with a “Vam-Prom” theme. Yes, this is the prom for the queer kids and anyone else who doesn’t feel comfortable with their high schools’ traditional proms, put together by the NYPL.

With Gunn as their mentor, six young students-cum-designers were charged with designing the perfect anti-prom ensemble. We don’t yet find out the winner on the second webisode below, so check back for the results. In the meantime: “Designers, gather round!”
