Casey Jacks — a gay adult video performer who shot scenes with Corbin Fisher, Falcon Studios, Hot House, Men.com and Next Door Studios — died yesterday at age 29. But while his agent, Chris Crisco, confirmed the news, some of Jacks’ adult industry peers have said that he may have died from suicide.
In a tweet (below), Crisco wrote, “It’s with a very heavy heart that I write this. Casey Jacks passed away yesterday. His brother just confirmed the news. I will always remember his contagious smile and his amazing personality. Please pray for Casey today. I know his #ChoiceTalent family & I will miss him dearly.”
Jacks last tweeted on April 26.

The World of Wonder blog reported that two other gay adult video performers have said that Casey died from suicide, but these reports haven’t been confirmed.
Performer Jack Hunter wrote, “I just heard some very sad news that my fellow Choice Management model Casey Jacks killed himself this morning. I am fortunate to have a large support system, but maybe he didn’t have that. It’s up to us to help one another in our times of need. We’re all a family.”

I do not know his particular story, but so many LGBTQ people grappling with the effects of living in this society would certainly benefit from great acceptance, support and, when needed and available, affordable professional guidance and counseling. When you think of the hundreds, if not thousands of porn stars, 2 or 3 a year passing away for one reason or another, be it self destruction or from some affliction is no worse than gay lives in general. Why is this news? We celebrate guys who have sex on camera but not gays who are successful in other careers. Pretty sure he was not on a career path to cure cancer. Stop supporting the industry and save some lives. We’re the reason for his death. Sex is fleeting. Ask your last trick. Yet, we cannot get enough sex for a good number of decades in our lives and would rather give these actors our immediate attention instead of giving it to some guy who slowly became successful over a number of years and actually contributes to society. Our community can be so whack at times.

It’s a shame so many gay porn actors die by their own hand- most of them begin porn at such a young age and I suspect as they mature they realize it will be with them the rest of their lives and many can’t accept that- porn producers should realize this and put them through rigorous mental evaluation before taking advantage of their naivety.
