I think it’s terrific that gay people largely boycotted these insulting “domestic partnership” ceremonies. New York’s politicians (including homophobic Democratic Party ones) need to understand that we’re no longer going to accept second best.
As for where most gay New York men might have been around the time these offices opened, probably staggering home from a sex club or bar.
