As the saying goes “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Rarely has that adage been as true as when unnamed Marine posted the above photo on Reddit with a note that read: “Today’s my unofficial last day as a Marine. This is what my unit gave me to say goodbye.”

But But But Wait…..all of the right wing bigots said that gays would ruin unit cohesion! Don’t tell me that a bunch of ignorant bigots were wrong?!?!?!?

First, Thanks for sharing this with us. Its great to know that there are a few proud Marine’s who are not afraid to say that they are proud to have served next to a (gay) brother in arms. Second, how cool that they did this for him to show how much he was a part of the team no matter who he loved and that he will be missed. And finally to him personally, thank you for serving our country and for showing the world that not every gay man is running around with a designer man purse and loafers. Welcome Home Brother!
