Check out the beautiful people of Melbourne

Melbourne may be one of the coolest city on the planet.

This metropolis on the southern coast of Australia is a cultural hub for the South Pacific region, with a thriving arts scene that has a refreshing intellectual vibe. Melbourne’s weather can be uncooperative—for reliable sunshine, go north of Sydney to the Gold Coast—but the fluctuating temperatures are part of Melbourne’s eclectic charms. And the rain is a great excuse to enjoy all of the city’s cute coffeehouses and cafes.

The Midsumma Festival is Melbourne’s big pride event (say “Midsumma” out loud, and it will make sense), and is held in the Australian summer months of January and February. More than just a parade, Midsumma perfectly reflects Melbourne life: a cultural festival with theater and cabaret shows around the city, and of course there are also dance parties, and pool parties, because when it isn’t raining, Melbourne is still part of Australia. And then there are occasional naked party for nudists.

As Australia comes to terms with the hellish wildfires in 2019 and 2020,  Melbourne continues to thrive, and the city is as beautiful as ever. Both the U.S. dollar and the Canadian dollar are very strong against the Australian dollar, so this is an excellent time to visit.

We don’t have any pics of those naked parties, but we do have some of people enjoying the other Midsumma festivites. Melbourne embraces a fun, non-binary, genderqueer scene, and the residents look like a fun bunch. Let’s take a look at some pics:
