Senator Ted Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy and Congressman Patrick Kennedy all endorsed Barack Obama today. Amidst this swirl of Dynastic political war, we gay folk popped up twice: once in Teddy’s speech and again during Obama’s “thank you”. The wing buts are right: we are infiltrating American culture. And it’s fabulous!

2 Kennedy’s also endorsed Senator Hillary Clinto including Senator Robert F Kennedy Jr and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend but let the Obama media coronation begin and then we will all turn around and bemoan that this was a GOP-controlled Corporate set-up to keep power in the GOP hands. Only Al Gore can save us now.

It is fabulous! This may be a sign that some powers are assimilating to us (as opposed to Queers being assimilated). This might , as much as anything be a backlash to the hatemongering that the Right has been oppressing us with.
It is especially of conspicuous import that Obama is being likened by the Kennedy family
to JFK. He was the greatest model, perhaps in history, of the “american dream” a part of the shanty Irish Catholics who came there in poverty and became part of the culture despite extreme intolerance, in unparaleled poverty.
Moreover of course, even having succeeded , JFK and the famikly maintained a kind of idealism like Obamas which will carry us in spirit.
America is realluy at a breaking point where some people may be tired of the insane intolerance of the Pentacostal & Baptist loonies and be willing to stand up out of simple humanity.

Hey, On-A-Stick…
There is no “Senator Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.” There is only an RFK, Jr. who doesn’t hold public office, like his sister who lost her race for Governor of the very Democratic State of Maryland and now doesn’t hold public office either.
I was livid with Obama over the Donnie McClurkin affair but have forgiven him based on his very clear statements against homophobia. I finally figured out that he doesn’t have to hate homophobes the way I do to earn my respect and support.
It took me some serious soul searching but I’m an old guy who remembers Jack and Bobby and this is the first time since then I’ve felt this kind of hope about a candidate.
Bitch Republic
Larry, you’re a naive old coot.

It’s kind of scary to think that a fat old drunk allegedly wields this much power.
