George Michael Performed A Historic Concert At Paris Opera

George Michael became the first pop star to perform at Paris’ renowned Opera Garnier as part of his “Symphonica Tour” in support of the French AIDS charity, Sidaction.

The theater is famous as the setting for The Phantom of the Opera and has hosted classical music and opera acts in its nearly-140-year history.

But on Sunday it saw Michael grinding to “I Want Your Sex” before a crowd that included designer Jean Paul Gaultier, The Artist‘s Berenice Bejo and Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, Dolores.

The Phantom was also spotted doing his best Naomi Campbell walk to “Freedom ’90.”
