George Michael, a little known pop star who loves pot, has taken to offering political advice:
British pop star George Michael has a tip for U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama — team up with former rival Hillary Clinton.
Michael, 45, touring North America for the first time in 17 years, told fans during a concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden that “I know you guys all need a change.”
He admitted he doesn’t know what kind of change Obama would bring if elected, saying that after “months of watching CNN” he still does not know what Obama or Clinton stand for.
Quite the persuasive political operative you’ve become, George.

Consider the source. This is the same idiot who received birthday flowers on stage from professional Republican beard, Bo Derek. ’nuff said.

I’ll take my political advice from Andrew Ridgeley, thank you very much.

He should check in when the shuttle lands.

I don’t know why anyone would have a problem with his statements. I watch CNN too and I haven’t a clue what Obama is all about.

Is there a name for people who continue to leave SPAM messages as comments?

Fortunately, foreign celebrities don’t pick our Presidents or Vice-Presidents. Hillary is self-serving and dishonest and she would be a disastrous pick for Obama. Mind your own business, George!

Though I support Obama and I love George Michael’s music, I gotta think George has been spending a bit of time smokin’ weed, watching CNN, and forming his political opinions at the same time. Put down the bong George. Or rather, keep smoking, but don’t try to do political analysis.

Why the rant against George?
Ask average US citizens to name three items of Obama’s platform and most would not be able to do it. And they have been subjected to the campaign every day, day after day, for the past year.
Sadly, ask those same citizens about celebrity gossip and they would be all over it.
What are Obama or McCain’s plans to address housing/mortgages, energy costs, out-dated infrastructure, or ….. ?
It’s possible George Michael’s comments have been mis-interpreted. Perhaps he was suggesting Obama (and Clinton) have connected with citizens as personalities and less with actual policy/issues.

^^The difference is that the average US citizen doesn’t make an ass of themselves by going on record to the media w/incoherent bs; particularly about the politics of a foreign country. So there.

How about spamwiches?

I watched CNN for months too and after all the masquerading as a Republican and pandering to the bigot-wing of the American masses, I still do not know what Hillary stands for either. Maybe she can join Leiberman in their own two-person party.
