It didn’t take long for George Takei to take to social media to sharply criticize Donald Trump‘s Wednesday morning announcement via Twitter that he’d ban transgender people from joining the military.
Trump cited “medical costs and disruption” as his reasoning behind the ban.

Talking to HuffPo in April, Takei didn’t mince words when discussing Trump:
“Well, I think every day of his tenure so far, and I think it’s going to be abbreviated, has been a disaster — one chaos after another disaster. He twice tried to sign an executive order, and we Japanese-Americans know about those executive orders, where he tries to discriminate and characterize a whole group of people as being one thing.”

The comments on the regular websites reporting this story are terrifying calling him old, gay Asian man, etc. And people seem to be thrilled that it will be legal to discriminate against transgender people. The transgender military members seem to be very intelligent and great at what they do. It must be just because last year Obama made them legal that 45 just wants to do anything to cancel out Obama. Or is he rewarding evangelicals for their votes? After all he is sooo,Christian minded, right? So religious. The reasons he gave are the same ones they used for women blacks and gays in the military. The defense gets tons more money than anybody else in the government so what’s the big deal with the cost?
