Oh my god, you made my day. I’ve been kind of fascinated with the incredibly fey Bill K. since I saw him on German MTV some time last year. It took me a while to figure out that he wasn’t a girl named Bill… fantastiche indeed. I had no idea he’d been on German Star Search. This particular performance wasn’t actually terribly good in terms of the singing, but I’m still floored, boggled, stupefied, delighted…
One quibble: I don’t know if “boy band” is the right term to describe Tokio Hotel. Doesn’t that usually imply a pre-fab kind of origin? These kids seem to have formed the band themselves, they actually play their instruments and they’re way more punky than any boy band I can think of. Anyway, thanks for keeping us up on the really important stuff.

ok, This is a completely false article. It has never been announced that Bill Kaulitz is gay. Never ever has it said that anywhere. Just because he isn’t seen with women unlike his twin brother and he has an awesome sense of style is that supposed to make him gay? Why can’t he just be a sensitive boy who doesn’t want to feel like his twin or even resents his twin for being with too many women. Maybe he respects women more than that. And maybe he is gay. The disussion about whether he`s gay or not is very good for the fame of the band. Bill and Tokio Hotel are famous not because of their music but because of their style and Bill`s voice. I think his clothes are supposed to mark his outstanding talent to inscene himself – nothing else. In Germany people laugh at little girls who admire Tokio Hotel saying that Bill was gay and all the girls are in love with him in vain. In my opinion, it`s worse for the band if Bill wasn`t really gay. The discussion around them would`nt be interesting anymore. It`s a marketing strategy.

He doesn’t say “silly woman”, but he said “Single” as a German says it. It’s an accent issue, not a language issue. He was 13. I know I couldn’t speak German back then. I think his English was quite good for that.
And yes, Tokio Hotel does rock. 🙂
