Glenn Beck To End Tearful Run On Fox News

In a cagey press release posted on his website, Glenn Beck says that while his production company Mercury Radio Arts will “work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the FOX News Channel (FNC) as well as content for other platforms including FOX News’ digital properties,” Mr. Beck “intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.”

When I first watched this person I thought he was poking a laugh at Conservative politics but then suddenly realized he was actually serious. Either way, he’s not a credible information resource so can’t take him seriously anyways, the off button on the TV is very liberating if he should ever pop up on my screen.

  • ChiGuy76

I breath a huge sigh of relief that he soon will not longer pollute our airwaves with his verbal filth.

It’s amazing that when he was on CNN, he very restrained in his arguments and even made some that were somewhat respectable. But when Mr. Beck moved to Fox News, he became like Tom Cruise without his handlers.

Even though Glenn Beck has expressed some support for the gay community (I know right? Can you believe it?) just reading that chalkboard in the picture makes me really happy he’ll be signing off real soon. People take that crap seriously.

But we blame the Democrats and liberals for our declining coutnry.

  • zeb

I always thought Beck was taking either too many or too few drugz! We can be real sure Fox will find another loonie as replacement or they will just show edited reruns because he says the same 9 things over an over anyways

Beck fried his brain with cocaine and booze during the eighties. If anyone tells you there are no long term efects of absuing substances, just point them in Beck’s direction for evidence to the contrary.

Ya know, many intelligent people watch Fox News. It’s okay to respectfully disagree with the viewpoints that are presented there, but let’s refrain from personal attacks.

I don’t always watch Glenn Beck’s show, but I went to his National Rally in DC. It was really heartwarming to see the dramatic support for America.

Glenn Beck has been on record in the past for being supportive towards gay people. I wish Glenn Beck the best of luck in his future endeavors.

  • the crustybastard

More than 400 advertisers are currently boycotting Beck’s show. Fox didn’t renew Beck’s contract.

    Pressuring advertisers works.

  • ZT

I don’t agree with all he says, but at least Beck has spoken, more or less, in support of gay marriage. Or at least he’s against opposing it.

  • Tomw

Good riddance to stupid, racist trash.

  • tjr101

Bleh, there’s more trash where that came from. I’m sure Faux News can find someone else to call Obama a black muslim, terrorist from Kenya!

  • Oprah

    oh let me cry. LOL

  • reason

He is a despicable person, that sums it up.

  • MattGMD

Beck ridiculed a rival radio DJ’s wife about her miscarriage on-air. His shtick is long past the expiration date and he should gracefully climb into the nearest garbage dumpster.

  • Soupy

I think it’s gross hyperbole to say that “many” intelligent people watch Fox news.

  • justiceontherocks

@Soupy: I enjoyed watching Fox News on election night 2008. Their reactions were priceless.

  • PersonOfInterest

    @Ronnie R:
What’s really funny is how few of these Beck-bashers have ever actually seen the man’s show, and are just parroting the left’s usual hot air (which, as we all know, is always reasonable and tolerant when critiquing anything non-liberal).

  • kayla

I have watched a few of Glenn’s shows…and I truly believe the man has a mental problem…Or he is one very adept conman…all I can say is adieu…que Dieu vous bénisse…

  • Soupy

    Call an wahmbulance….

  • whatever

@Ronnie R: “Ya know, many intelligent people watch Fox News.”

hahahahaa! thanks, i needed that laugh.

  • Jeffree

Beck’s audience has declined. Ratings are down. Sponsors have evaporated. He’s like yesterday’s newspaper: only good for wrapping up kitty litter.
