The president of his high school’s gay/straight alliance is having a gay prom in a few months. But the location is being kept secret because of people like Reverend Phelps. He’s the protest-happy leader of the Westboro Baptist Church and the man responsible for the uplifting site Godhatesflags.com. He wants to picket the prom because we’re just so dirty. Filthy even.
According to a fax from the Westboro headquarters, “America has raised a generation of filthy fags and dykes.
If Phelps and his crew do show up at the prom, they’ll notice that gays are actually some of the cleanest and well-groomed people he’ll ever meet.
The prom is scheduled for April 13.
