Each Friday we’ll try and bring you the perfect meme to distract you — if for just a moment — to get you through that end-of-week homestretch.
This week’s entry from Johnny Sibilly (which, OK, is also technically not a meme but if you can’t tell, we’re going to be very loose with that definition) falls in the “funny because it’s true” camp.
Look, we love that queer spaces are inclusive spaces, and we would never, ever tell someone they can’t or shouldn’t enjoy a night out at a fabulous gay venue. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to raise our eyebrows any less when we bump into this kind of behavior head-on in the wild.
(And sorry for using you for the main photo, Lena — we’d love to see you at any gay bar.)

I hate how they invade our space. If I wanted a straight girl Honey I would go to your straight clubs.

Jenny slate would be awesome in this bit!

Could we just go ahead and say it. We are sick of these needy straight bitches period. They are all over other gay websites and everywhere else gay men go,trying to tell gay people what to do. And the reason there are there is because they have no lives and no one likes them in the real world, so we don’t have to either. They only ones that want these little social justice warriors around are the trans. They train them to attack then leave them on the gay sites like a guard dog to go after anyone that isn’t bowing down to the trans agenda. Take your fales hetero entitlement somewhere else.

What about straight girls in a Gay Strip Club, like the old Gaiety Theater in NYC?
SOME PEOPLE are just so convinced that it has to be all about them, they fail to notice just how “out of place” they really are.
Madonna caused a real surge in the number of women showing up at The Gaiety.

What a fickle and short memory many complainers have. Still fighting for equal rights, and yet – willingly depriving others of theirs. This is the price of freedom – you’re not going to love/like everyone/everywhere (in much the same way that we are/were unliked by the majority before, and now, they tolerate us more. Don’t fool yourself into believing that the majority loves us (some do, many do not) – but as a community that has been so well ostracized and hurt by cliches, stereotypes and hurt – its harmful to our legacy of inclusiveness.
That straight girl, as annoying, needy, and soul-sucking as she may be – is also growing and learning. The best way to stop her from being any of those things is by either ignoring her (this is a gay bar – she is not supposed to be your primary focus anyway) or befriending her and teaching her the world of LGBT.
We hated and fought against a world that despised us – because they excluded us based on our gender/sexuality – and now we do the same to other people willingly. #progress?

Think how many straight bars in your city compared with gay ones?

Frankly, I found the video insulting, denigrating to our straight allies, and think it says more about the author than his subject.

@MacAdvisor:
You wouldn’t say that if you went to a gay club excepting to have a fun night with friends and see that it has been taken over by a bachelorette party with a bunch of drunk obnoxious girls wearing Tierra’s and sipping out of penis straws thinking they are the coolest things around because they are with ‘the gays’. If gay guys went into a straight bar and acted like that we would be beat up or killed.

@Sukhrajah: Kiss your boyfriend while dancing with him at a straight dance club in Texas and see what happens. Things haven’t changed all that much. Nothing wrong with wanting a place that’s just ours.

@Sukhrajah: Feeding off of us to get attention doesn’t makes someone an allie. It just makes them needy.

If it wasn’t for straight women allies, we wouldn’t even be as far advanced as we are. Do you awful misogynists recall that we won several votes in 2012 on same sex marriage? Do you realize the reason why we won was because of heterosexual women turning out in droves? I am about inclusion. Isn’t inclusion what we are calling for? Don’t attack one of our key allies.
You still have a space of your own. Nobody is invading your space. Get real. They have every right to be there and they are probably going with a gay friend and being supportive. Several of my straight female friends went to gay clubs with me. What is the big deal?
Hypocrisy is rampant in our community.

@IDoNotHaveToAgreeWithYou: You don’t have the slightest bit of proof for that.

Ugh, this photo, I can already hear her.
1. Breaking in to the middle of a conversation, could you two kiss, that would be SO HOT!
2. I think everybody is bisexual, ( then gets horrified look on face when asked if that means SHE is attracted to women.
3. Hearing a very loud “WOOOOOOOOO” every 3 minutes.
4. Puke all over the bathroom, which has been clean since……the LAST time these girls were there.
