The Conservative Voice may want to rethink their contextual advertising format. But, then again, so should we – a reader pointed out that an eHarmony ad found its way on our site yesterday.
The advertising gods must be crazy!

While I do not necessarily agree with the article, there is one point that I have to agree with them.
The case against e-Harmony is a frivolous lawsuit that serves nothing but to give the GLBT community more problems than it is worth. There are plenty of GLBT dating services out there (that are a LOT cheaper than e-Harmony, I might add.)
Linda Carlson should be looking in those directions. Instead, she is looking for produce in a hardware store. We have bigger fish to fry than e-Harmony. They are ONE dating service in a sea of dating services. If I can’t find what I want in one store, I go to another. I don’t sue the store because I didn’t find what I am looking for there.
Let’s get a little perspective here.

Totally agree with PJ. There are tons of gay dating sites out there. Why sue the one that doesn’t cater to her? It seems at best frivolous.

I agree that the case is ridiculous, but as I understand it, eHarmony is about finding long term partners ans potentially marriage minded people. What if the lesbian in question was looking for just that, but could not find it on the numerous trick sites?

Paul, there are zillions of meet-up (as opposed to hook-up) sites on the web: for Jews, blacks, lesbians, amputees – you name it.

“Paul, there are zillions of meet-up”
Name three.
