How would an Islamic child feel if they stumbled upon such ugliness. How did you feel the first time you heard someone demeaning who you are. How did the gay kid in the 50’s feel after watching that youtube video at school and hearing all the other kids vent and joke about those dangerous homosexuals. The funny thing is the gays are being used as the disgusting wimping bag to “terrify” the Muslims, but sure enough Queerty is so hungry to be accepted by the bigots that they are jumping in not realizing that GBLT are part of the punchline. I don’t know why anyone here thinks this gay bar suggestion is a great idea or that the right wing mouthpieces proposing it are somehow on our side. The whole furor over the muslim community center being built blocks away from ground zero like the “anchor babies” crap and the “new black panther menace” is a ginned up thing to motivate republican votes by exploiting fear and hate towards brown and black people. These are the same people who in past elections turned gay marriage into a huge political wedge issue to get votes from fear tactics and pumping up and exploiting anti-gay prejudice.
The muslims planning the community center are longtime inhabitants of New York and religious moderates. The imam has worked in New York for decades. They’ve been classy in this whole affair so far, and I have no doubt they’ll treat the idea of a gay bar without the derision of Gutfield and Glenn who giggle like frat boys at the idea of sticking their “enemy” with fags.

Try to stay current, the association of Orthodox rabbis just said that there should be no discrimination against homosexuals. When a statement like that comes out of Sauidi Arabias head cleric then it would be fair to compare the two.

I did not say prejudice among Christians meant it is OK among muslims but:
1) Greg, Glenn, and the republicans are attacking only muslims while at the same time promoting Christianity and Christian prejudices and trying to erase the separation of religion and state where christianity is concerned; and
2) I have yet to see evidence that the particular moderate New York muslims who are being targeted are doing or saying anything heinous about gays. Muslims are individuals too, you know.
And you are missing that Greg Gutfield is not doing this for gays or because he respects gays or because he objects to homophobia. This is a stunt to further the anti-gay republican party, by a man whose only use for gays is as a wedge issue or fodder for fag jokes, and it involves throwing gays at his supposed enemy because he and his viewers think sticking someone with gays is hilariously horrible. It is also to get Greg attention that can feed his big ego and his ratings. Hell, Glenn said right in the video that he wouldn’t want a gay bar anywhere near his own mormon church – these guys aren’t any more tolerant than the ones the people are attacking, so far they actually seem LESS tolerant and a lot less mature.
