I tested it to verify for myself before I typed my response. I tried registering using GC1985 and even tried using my own screen name and it wouldn’t let me.
I’m unsure about your situation. Queerty could’ve changed the registration process OR the person used a special character or misspelling of your name like Xzamiloh or Xzamil|oh (notice the slash pretending to be an L), but as of now you cannot create an account with the same username

Not true. When Rob Portman’s son came out, people didn’t attack the young man, and praised his father for not being a raging Republican homophobe. People also did say that Portman’s son was hot.
