Well, his right-wing comedy American Carol got whooped at the box office by Bill Maher’s satirical look at religion, Religulous: “An American Carol brought in $3.8 million… Carol was shown on 1,639 screens. Bill Mahers Religulous was on 532 screens. And yet, so far it has made $3.5 million.”

whooped?! american carol made slightly more money on a bit more screens. even in a very large midwestern town, american carol is only showing on one screen in the whole city. hardly a wide release.
