Personally, we’ve met more leprechauns than bisexuals in our lifetime, but we’re probably just swimming in the wrong social circles. On the heels of a recent study that suggests bisexual men make the best lovers, it happens to be #BiVisibilityDay, an event that the Twitterverse is celebrating the only way they know how: with gleeful GIF bombs and a bunch of emojis.

Being bi is really fun because not only do straight people think you’re faking but gay people think so too isn’t that fab #bivisibilityday
— Amy Louise (@Amylouioc) September 23, 2016
YAASSS #BiVisibilityDay. Because bi-women aren’t pretending & bi-men aren’t faking. People’s sexuality doesn’t revolve around cisgender men.

You shouldn’t have to feel like you’re not “gay enough” or “straight enough” – You are valid and perfect as is. #BiVisibilityDay

In a straight relationship? Still bi
In a gay relationship? Still bi
Relationship status does not determine sexuality

Bivisibility is an oxymoron.
PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID
“Personally, we’ve met more leprechauns than bisexuals in our lifetime, but we’re probably just swimming in the wrong social circles”
Fact check please!
Personally, I don’t believe you’re swimming through.anybody’s social circle
Mo Bro
Jesus christ, what a weird . . . thing.
I mean, it’s not like we advertise it, it’s just . . . there.
Like a tiger ready to pounce.
Especially when we get shitfaced drunk.
Heywood Jablowme
@PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID: I agree with you that’s a pretty astonishing statement. But maybe he has met a lot of leprechauns?
Prax07
Bi visibility? Funny since every bi guy I’ve ever known has been deeply closeted and terrified of having their bisexuality outed to any of their straight friends.
Mo Bro
@Prax07: It happened to me, being outed to my friends (I was kind of caught, actually), but my bros have been awesome about it. I’m now “bi guy” or “mo bro” or “semi-gay J”. In a way it’s been kind of cool.
Prax07
I had to cut off contact with the latest bi guy I had the misfortune of getting involved with. He wanted his bi-ness hidden so badly from a girl he started hooking up with that he asked me to never refer to my being gay, his being bi, our past sexual history, and any reference to anyone I might date in any future texts. He wants to scrub over who he is, and lie to the girl. Had to cut him out of my life. Sadly being that deeply closeted is a regular thing here in Scranton, Pa.
Realitycheck
@Prax07: the guy sounds more like a closet gay guy then a bi and that fits my theory, real bi are less then we think most bi are simply G or L in denial.
jdboston617
@Prax07: Mmhm. Preach.
Brian
We should not allow women into our PR machines for bisexuality. Women always ruin things because they bring prostitution into it.
Prostitution trivializes sexuality. Women reduce sexuality to a perverse reward system where women are encouraged to fake it to obtain a reward from sleazy straight guys. Such female behavior harms us as a whole.
Only men are genuinely bisexual 100% of the time. Women tend to make up their sexuality in the same way they make up their faces. Theirs is as fake as Maybelline.
Brian
@Realitycheck: I don’t agree. I think basically all straight-identifying males are able to go with guys in addition to gals. However, they won’t admit to it because women punish them for it.
Bi male-activism is thus something that is taken up by a few gay-identifying males.
Because women tend to punish male bisexuality, you generally won’t see straight-identifying males take up the cause.
Mo Bro
@Brian: Okay, Brian, I usually think your comments are somewhat loopy in their intricacy, but I agree with your statement that “Women reduce sexuality to a perverse reward system where [they] are encouraged to fake it to obtain a reward . . .” because that’s exactly what they do. They can also turn on and off their bi-ness like a switch, which can be as alluring as it is annoying.
Ruhlmann
I only sleep with other bi men or bi women. You don’t have to explain or defend yourself.
Brian
@Mo Bro: That’s exactly my point. This “on-off” switch that you describe is part of the theater of female selling. It’s an act designed to obtain rewards.
This is why I get so annoyed with those who equate females with males on the issue of sexuality. There is no equality and there will never be. There cannot be.
What is especually annoying is this gaggle of women and their male enablers who spread this nonsense about women being “naturally bisexual”. I say “naturally fake”.
Only men are naturally – and genuinely – bisexual.
Prax07
About the bi on-off switch, males do it just as much as females in my experience. One guy I knew was married yet turned tricks every night as his job after he got fired from his actual job. Another lived with a girlfriend but had a military boy on the side for whenever he wanted “gay” sex, which was every other night. Another that I dated would screw me, then immediately go home and screw his girlfriend that I didn’t know existed. Another that I dated did the exact same thing, except he lied that these were just platonic female buddies. And then the latest guy I mentioned previously could switch preference within seconds (but then again he’s also a narcissistic abuser, still recovering from him). Those are just a few examples from my own experience, yet bi guys wonder why they have a bad rep all around?
Billy Budd
Bisexuality is beautiful and should be valued above all other types of sexual inclination. Bisexuality represents the future for the human race. It is inevitable and it is in our genes. Religion and society are suppressing it but it cannot last forever.
Brian
@Prax07: The on-off switch I’m talking about refers to the tendency of women to fake it. Men cannot fake it.
Hank
“we’ve met more leprechauns than bisexuals in our lifetime”.
I agree with the article because too few people define themselves as bisexual and they are usually on the side of straights and against the LGBT cause.
Brian
@Hank: Men are naturally sexual in every direction but women punish them if they do not confine their sexuality to the female gender.
DCguy
@Billy Budd:
How sweet, a vague statement that puts all other groups down. Nowe go to your bigoted corner for a timeout.
I’mean shocked the blogs haven’t tried to rename the day “hetero-flexible day”.
