He gave us lumbersexual vibes in Man of Steel. He impressed us with his arm-reload in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Now Henry Cavill is getting even buffer for his role in Netflix’s upcoming series The Witcher. And we’ve been drooling over his Instagram uploads. Those muscles! Those veins! And yes, those scars!

To play Geralt — the titular monster hunter from the Andrzej Sapkowski book series, which also inspired a hit video game franchise — Cavill has been working with Hollywood heavyweight trainer Dave Rienzi and focusing on fasted cardio. “Out of all the things I’ve done in the past, I think the fasted cardio stuff is actually working best for me,” the British actor, 35, tells Men’s Health UK. “I’m in the best shape of my life.”

Cavill’s transformation has impressed Justice League costar Jason Momoa, who’s no stranger to packing on the muscle. “Looking shredded bro,” the Aquaman actor wrote in an Instagram comment.

Here’s hoping The Witcher has plenty of shirtless scenes. The series is expected to start streaming later this year.
