Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has officially been declared grand marshal for Boston’s upcoming “Straight Pride” parade after Brad Pitt threatened to sue organizers for using him to promote the event last week.
“I’ve spent my entire career advocating for the rights of America’s most brutally repressed identity — straight people — so I know a thing or two about discrimination,” Yiannopoulos said in a statement.
The parade is tentatively scheduled for August 31.

does it not make sense that if we want to have the same rights that the straight people, that there is no reason that they should have what we have?
what ever happened to “having the same rights as everyone else”?

You seem not to understand the purpose of a pride event for a federally recognized suspect class still subjected to discrimination and violence.
EVERY parade is a straight pride parade. EVERY day is straight pride day.
To create institutional discrimination against a majority requires a system as well constructed and supported as apartheid. Please demonstrate how that exists in the US.
Please show how heterosexuals are systemically denigrated for their “choice”, and how non-heterosexuals oppress them in both subtle and overt ways.

The entire concept of Gay Pride just went right over your little head, didn’t it? Gay pride wasn’t born out of the need to celebrate being gay, but our right to exist. When straight people are bashed just for being straight, fired from a job for just being straight, evicted for just being straight, let me.
