Hillary Clinton made history on Thursday night, delivering her speech on stage at the 2016 Democratic National Convention as the first ever major party female candidate for president of the United States.

Amazing that we’re in a time where it’s a point of contrast for a candidate to say “I believe in science” #DemsInPhilly

HC's speech seems a synthesis of the week's major themes: Unify w/Bernie-ites, tell her personal story, defend O's record, court moderates

I think I’ll tweet “Throws up in my mouth a little bit. #DemsInPhilly
Mo Bro
I feel sorry for American women at large that this corrupt liar is what’ll go down in history as their trailblazer. Way to go, Dems. And you claim Trump is a bad role model for kids.
Masc Pride
#I’mWithTheOtherHer #JillStein2016
ingyaom
What did she say about gays? Anything?
Masc Pride
@ingyaom: In her defense, I’d say it was probably smart for her to not go into too much LGBT detail since she really only stopped proclaiming “I believe marriage is between a man and a woman” a few years ago.
Mo Bro
@ingyaom: Nothing at all, but I seem to recall that Trump did. Go figure.
Mack
@Masc Pride: So did most Americans PRESIDENT OBAMA AS WELL.
Alistair Wiseman
@Mo Bro:
And Trump thanked the RNC Convention audience for their enthusiastic response to his LGBT remarks.
“But..but..he’s a monster!!!”
Mack
And by the way, vote for Donald Trump, Gary Johnson or Jill Stein and see what that gets your gay rights. Probably right in the toilet.
Masc Pride
@Mack: False. Even if that was true, “most Americans” aren’t running for president while claiming they’ve been “fighting” for everyone (which would include the gay community) for decades. Very telling that she was the only candidate Anderson Cooper asked, “Will you say anything to get elected?”
ErikO
She’s not the first woman to be nominated for President or even run for President. That honor belongs to Victoria Woodhull who did more for women in 1872, than lying Hillary ever will. Vote Jill Stein 2016!
Brian
Hillary’s problem is that she stands for nothing. She hardly says anything, and when she does it’s without conviction. She would make a good manager but not a leader.
She also appears to have an anti-male streak about her. Just remember that we are into male homosexuality. Women like Hillary aren’t really into us despite their pandering.
ErikO
@Brian: She’s a deeply closeted lesbian. She and Bill have a political “marriage” of convenience, and if she was really hetero or even bisexual she would never have stayed with him after he cheated on her with a lot of women through the decades.
Kangol
@Mo Bro: Trump’s alleged to have raped a 13-year-old. Nothing Clinton, the other Dems, Sanders, or any of the GOP candidates has done comes close. Raping a thirteen year old girl. After raping his ex-wife Ivana and an attempted rape of another woman. Yep, there’s your role model!
Mo Bro
@Kangol: If the rape allegation is true, then you liberals should be as vigorously defending him as you do Roman Polanski.
*drops mic*
GayEGO
Hillary supports us, Trump…….who knows what he thinks, he picked Mike Pence who is anti-gay and sign an anti-gay discrimination bill as governor of Indiana. I say Bump the Chump, Trump, in the Rump, into the Dump! :>)
Alistair Wiseman
I think it’s big of Hillary that she gave her convention speech and didn’t even charge her mandatory $200,000 speaking fee. She’s sweet.
1EqualityUSA
Men and women speak and people pay to hear what they have to say. I’ve paid to hear people speak. What’s the big whoop?
Alistair Wiseman
@1EqualityUSA:
“What’s the big whoop?”
Well, for those of us paying attention, it is a very big “whoop”.
It has been almost six months since Hillary said she would “look into” releasing her speech transcripts to Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street firms. Still hasn’t happened.
Low and behold, it has just been released that Hillary has received $48,500,000 to Trump’s $19,000 from seven financial firms.
Follow the money.
Alistair Wiseman
@1EqualityUSA:
Now that I think about it, shouldn’t she give that money back? Isn’t it Hillary Clinton and her party that are always talking about overturning Citizens United? The hypocrite even railed against it in her convention speech.
